Students will have the opportunity to use the gym for a variety of sports and games such as basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, etc. The objective will give students the chance to work together to organize and initiate games under the supervision of the recreation staff in a safe and positive environment.

The Watertown Senior Shuttle travels a fixed route throughout Watertown to take seniors grocery shopping, and we continually adjust the route to accommodate new riders. The bus goes to the Super Stop and Shop on Pleasant St. on Fridays. Take the bus, and leave the driving (and parking) to us!

Try an exercise class at the Senior Center! The classes focus on the particular needs of seniors in a fun, safe environment. Exercises include muscle strengthening, light stretching, balance and posture improvement, and low-impact aerobics; all done to your favorite tunes! Regular exercise can improve circulation, help to strengthen bones, increase muscle mass, reduce joint stiffness, and improve general health. Plus, it’s fun! Whether it’s to get stronger, loosen up, or just get moving, give it a try and join us!

Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can practice Tai Chi. While Tai Chi’s best-documented health effect is its ability to improve balance, it can also reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve strength and increase energy. Classes are taught by Marie Favorito, founder and Director of the Boston Healing Tao.
The Mellowtones sing for fun, members do not have to read music, and new members are always welcome!

The purpose of this meeting is to tally absentee ballots received from voters under the provisions of the federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act(UOCAVA). These ballots are from voters who mailed their ballots from outside the United States, postmarked by November 6, 2012 and received by 5:00PM on the tenth day following the Election(November 16, 2012). The public is invited to attend.
