Recreation

  1. All Sports Program Grades 3-5

    November 2, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Gymnasium

    Students will gain fundamental athletic skills while working as a team to learn games such as lacrosse, soccer, flag football and track & field events. All activities will take place both indoor and outdoor in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and most of all fun.

  2. Middle School Flag Tag Football Grades 6-8

    November 2, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Field

    The Middle School Flag Football league will play on Friday afternoons this fall. The first week of this program will consist of drills, scrimmage and then 4 consistent teams will be selected. After the teams are made a schedule of games will be played beginning the following week. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of fag football and the excitement of being a part of a team.

Senior Center/Council on Aging

  1. USE THE SENIOR SHUTTLE FOR YOUR SHOPPING NEEDS

    The Watertown Senior Shuttle travels a fixed route throughout Watertown to take seniors grocery shopping, and we continually adjust the route to accommodate new riders. The bus goes to the Super Stop and Shop on Pleasant St. on Fridays. Take the bus, and leave the driving (and parking) to us!

  3. ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO GET MOVING!

    Try an exercise class at the Senior Center! The classes focus on the particular needs of seniors in a fun, safe environment. Exercises include muscle strengthening, light stretching, balance and posture improvement, and low-impact aerobics; all done to your favorite tunes! Regular exercise can improve circulation, help to strengthen bones, increase muscle mass, reduce joint stiffness, and improve general health. Plus, it’s fun! Whether it’s to get stronger, loosen up, or just get moving, give it a try and join us!

  4. ENERGY AND BALANCE WITH TAI CHI

    November 2, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM @ Watertown Senior Center

    Anyone, regardless of age or physical ability, can practice Tai Chi. While Tai Chi’s best-documented health effect is its ability to improve balance, it can also reduce stress, increase flexibility, improve strength and increase energy. Classes are taught by Marie Favorito, founder and Director of the Boston Healing Tao.

  5. SING....JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT!

    The Mellowtones sing for fun, members do not have to read music, and new members are always welcome!
