MY COUSIN VINNIE: When Bill, a sweet Northern college kid and his buddy are thrown in jail in a remote Southern town, it looks at first like no big deal until they are accused of murder! Penniless and without friends in the area, Bill calls his cousin Vinny, who has recently become a lawyer. Vinny, who has never tried a criminal case in his short life as a lawyer, rides south to defend his trusting relative arriving on the scene with his equally brassy girlfriend Lisa. Bill is fairly sure he's going to be sentenced to death and is none too confident in Vinnie’s legal skills. The local judge is not sympathetic to Vinny's verbal shenanigans either, but with the insistent moral encouragement of his girlfriend, Vinny somehow accomplishes the impossible. With Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei.
