On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens, bread for fish. Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

    The Watertown Senior Shuttle travels a fixed route throughout Watertown to take seniors grocery shopping, and we continually adjust the route to accommodate new riders. The bus goes to the Stop & Shop on Watertown St. on Tuesdays. Take the bus, and leave the driving (and parking) to us!

  2. Make a SHINE appointment at the Watertown Senior Center

    Trained SHINE (Serving Health Information Needs of Elders) volunteers offer free, confidential counseling by appointment on all aspects of Medicare and related health insurance programs. Or, you can reach a SHINE counselor by telephone. Call 1-800-AGE-INFO (1-800-243-4636), then press or say 3. Once you get the SHINE answering machine, leave your name and number. A volunteer will call you back, as soon as possible.

    The group meets weekly for support, and to socialize. Individuals weigh in (not mandatory) exercise to a tape, and participate in a talk about nutrition led by long-time volunteer, Evelyn Casey.
