Recreation

  1. Pre Kindergarten Outdoor Sports Ages 3-5

    June 13, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Turf Field

    This program will work on the fundamentals of Soccer, T-Ball and other games. The children will work on skills needed to play these games as well as learn about teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun, safe setting.

  2. All Sports Program Grades 3-5

    June 13, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Gymnasium or playground

    Students will gain fundamental athletic skills while working as a team to learn games such as soccer, lacrosse, track and field events and baseball. All activities will take place outdoors in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and most of all fun.

  3. Junior All Sports Program Grades K-2

    June 13, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Gymnasium or playground

    A fun and active outdoor program where students will take part in different sports such as lacrosse, soccer, track and field events and t-ball. Two weeks will be dedicated to each of these sports where participants will be introduced to the basics of each game in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.

  4. Men's Summer Basketball League Games

    The Watertown Recreation Department Men’s Basketball League will hold its introductory meeting on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 7:00 in the Lower Hearing room in the Watertown Town Hall. The next meeting will be on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 7:00 in the same location. The League will begin on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. The cost of the league is $1250.00 with an additional $100.00 forfeit fee that will be returned if there are no forfeits. This will bring the total fee to $1350.00 If we owe your team money from last year, we will deduct it from this year’s fee. There will be three leagues offered: Papas Elite League: High Level Players - College Level Only Team must include 80% former or current College basketball players O’Brien Legends League: Summer League Veterans Only - Over 30. Sullivan League: - Medium Level - High School Experience and College.

Senior Center/Council on Aging

  1. A TWO-PART SEMINAR FROM THE LAW OFFICE of DALE J. TAMBURRO

    June 13, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ Watertown Senior Center

    Wednesday, June 13 at 9:30 a.m. we will follow up the May Seminar on Medicaid Rules and Process with a Seminar on MassHealth Planning. Planning involved taking practical actions in the use of your money and asset, working with a lawyer and a financial planner. Topics to be covered in June will include the use of an Irrevocable Trust as an Asset Protection Devise, Long Term Care Insurance, Use of Annuities to protect Assets for the Community Spouse and many more ideas on how to Protect Assets in lieu of a prolonged nursing home stay.

  2. WHIST AT THE SENIOR CENTER

    The group meets weekly to play whist weekly and socialize!

  3. COUNCIL ON AGING BOARD MEETING

    June 13, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Watertown Senior Center

    The COA Board meets at the Watertown Senior Center, 31 Marshall St. on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm.
