On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

    November 30, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Lowell Gym

    Students will gain fundamental athletic skills while working as a team to learn games such as Floor Hockey, Basketball, Kickball and Group Games. All activities will take place both outdoors and indoors in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and most of all fun.

  2. Jr. Creative Crafts Grades: PreK-2

    November 30, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Lowell Gym

    Glue, paint, color, cut, sprinkle, make a mess. It’s all part of the fun! Come and join us and meet new friends, as we create special works of art that you can treasure for a life-time. This class encourages creativity and teaches children to be proud of their accomplishments.

  3. Musical Instrument Lessons (Private) Grades K-12

    November 30, 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Watertown Middle School

    Students work with instructors who are also professional musicians in the Greater Boston area, perform regularly on their instruments, and have many years of experience teaching children of all ages. This is a tuition based program and is highly recommended for students participating in school instrumental ensembles. Private lessons allow the instructor to focus on the individual needs of each student enabling the student to progress faster and perform in their school ensembles with a high degree of ability, confidence, and enjoyment. One-on-one instruction can help motivate students who are having some difficulties progressing on their instrument and provide challenge to more advanced student musicians. Students who currently play an instrument during the school day are strongly encouraged to enroll in private instrumental music lessons either through this program or elsewhere. Parents, working with the instructor, determine the length of lessons that best suits the musical needs of

  4. aBCD with the Blue Belles Grades: Prek-8

    November 30, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Phillips School Gym

    Set to music, the participants will experience cheering, dance and/or baton twirling. Participants will learn marching, basic twirling skills, cheer motions and dance moves. Focus is on hand-eye coordination, rhythm, and teamwork. Spring session participants will learn a routine for the Memorial Day parade. Instruction is provided by Miss Tracey Gangi Johnson. We will once again offer three sessions as stated above. You will be able to order your child’s baton at either one of the following web sites. You can measure the size of the baton by extending your child’s arm from under her arm pit to the tip of her fingers. Please round up to a larger size for growth allowance.

    Try an exercise class at the Senior Center! The classes focus on the particular needs of seniors in a fun, safe environment. Exercises include muscle strengthening, light-stretching, balance and posture improvement, and low-impact aerobics; all done to you favorite tunes! Regular exercise can improve circulation, help to strengthen bones, increase muscle mass, reduce joint stiffness, and improve general health. Plus, it's fun! Whether it's to get stronger, loosen up, or just get moving, give it a try and join us!
