    The Middle School Flag Football league will play on Friday afternoons this fall. The first week of this program will consist of drills, scrimmage and then 4 consistent teams will be selected. After the teams are made a schedule of games will be played beginning the following week. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of flag football and the excitement of being a part of a team.

    This is an opportunity for residents, youth organizations, civic groups and businesses and other interested parties to ask questions, make recommendations, express concerns and hear plans for the future. These meetings will be held in the Lower Hearing Room of the Town Hall on the first Tuesday of each month in most cases. The meeting in July will take place on Tuesday, July 9th because of the July 4th week. All meetings will begin at 6:00 and end by 7:00, unless additional time is needed.

    SAVE THE DATE: October 15, 2014 TENTATIVE LOCATION: Watertown Middle School Auditorium TIME: 6:30 PM until 8 PM Development pressure has resulted in a number of projects being built or proposed on Arsenal Street, in Watertown Square, Coolidge Square, and Pleasant Street corridor. As a result, the Town of Watertown selected Gamble Associates to conduct an expedited process to create Design Guidelines and Standards. The project was initiated in September and is anticipated to be wrapped up in December of 2014. The intent of the project is to develop a set of documents that provide clear guidance and requirements for new development and redevelopment within Watertown’s key corridors and squares. An initial meeting has been scheduled so please save the date for October 15 at 6:30 PM. We are still finalizing the location but we have tentatively identified Watertown Middle School Auditorium.
