Artisian Cooking Classes for Children (Summer)

Description: At the Artisan Cooking Classes, the children do it all: measuring, mixing, rolling and garnishing. Our “hands-on” classes and workshops provide unique opportunities for children
to express themselves through creativity, to make new friends and to learn many important educational and life skills. Children will make a two to three full course meals with a fun and
interesting desserts. Students will learn food preparation and will be encouraged to explore garnishing, decorating, and packaging their unique and delicious creations. Most of all, they make new friends and gain a sense of accomplishment and pride while preparing delicious and delectable creations.

Description: Participants will learn marching, basic twirling skills and dance moves.  Focus is on hand-eye coordination, rhythm, and teamwork.  Spring session participants will learn a routine for the parade.  Instruction is provided by Miss Tracey Gangi Johnson.  We will once again offer three sessions as follows:
Fall: September 25 to December 4
Winter: December 18 to March 12

Cheer Fit is a fun high energy class designed to build strength and flexibility while teaching basics of cheerleading. Description: The summer program is designed for children to experience fun, laughter and acting. Your little ones will become more clownish than they already are. There will be limit of 25 students for the week program, please register early. Children will learn basic clown training including clowning, makeup, characters, costumes, face painting, balloon creations, juggling, comedy magic, acting, and more. Don't miss this opportunity!!

Description:

This program offers unique fitness experience that your child will not find at your local gym or fitness class. We focus on strength and conditioning. Boxing offers a unique and motivating alternative to a standard gym workout. Description: Sculpture is three-dimensional artwork created by shaping or combining materials.Materials may be worked by removal such as carving or they may be assembled such as by gluing or hardened such as by firing. Our sculpture lessons make use of materials such as clay,wood, foils, soap, paper, tape, beans, foam, metal, stones and more. Don't miss this experience!

Description:

Watertown Recreation is offering two, two week sessions to learn strength, quickness and speed. We will focus on throwing, jumping, sprints and endurance. We concentrate on overall fitness; plyometrics, agility, coordination and speed drills.

We also provide arts & crafts and quiet game time each day. There is also a period provided for those who bring their lunches. Each participant will receive a Watertown Recreation tee shirt.
