Early Voting 2018


The Watertown Election Commissioners will be hosting Early Voting beginning on Monday, October 22, 2018 through Friday, November 2, 2018. The Watertown Administration Building is not a Precinct on Election Day. Absentee voting is still available for those who will be absent from Watertown on election day, disabled or have a religious belief preventing them from legally voting on November 6th. Early Voting is available for registered voters who want to cast their votes prior to Election Day. Please make sure you are a registered  voter by visiting the Secretary of State’s website: www.registertovotema.com. You will need either a Massachusetts driver’s license or an identification issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles to apply for voter registration online. Please register by October 17, 2018 to be eligible to vote in our State Election on November 6, 2018. 
Registered voters have the option to request an Early Ballots through the mail. Please complete an application acquired from the Secretary of State’s website: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele and mail it to Town of Watertown, Town Clerk’s Office, 149 Main St. Watertown, MA 02472.

To be eligible to vote in the November 6, 2018 State Election, you must register to vote or make any necessary changes to your voter registration by  Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Please note the Town Clerk’s office is open from 8:30AM-8:00PM on this date for registration issues. Early Voting will take place at the Watertown Administration Building-Town Clerk’s Office (B1), 149 Main St., Watertown, MA during the following dates and times:


Mondays (Oct. 22nd and Oct. 29th) 8:30 am-5:00 pm 
Tuesdays (Oct. 23rd and Oct. 30th) 8:30 am- 7:00 pm 
Wednesdays (Oct. 24th and Oct. 31st) 8:30 am-5:00 pm 
Thursdays (Oct. 25th and Nov. 1st) 8:30 am-5:00 pm 
Fridays (Oct. 26th and Nov. 2nd) 8:30 am-5:00 pm


Saturday (Oct. 27th) 9:00 am-1:00 pm


Also, registered voters have the option to request an early voting ballot through the mail. Simply fill out an application and mail it to the Town Clerk’s Office, 149 Main St., Watertown, MA 02472. You can find the application on the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website: www.sec.state.ma.us/ele Please note, however, once a voter has cast an early voting ballot, the voter may no longer vote on Election Day, Nov. 6, 2018.
