When are property tax bills due?
Four times per year - August 1, November 1, February 1, and May 1

If I pay my property tax bill late, will I be charged any interest penalties?
Yes, interest at 14% from the due date of the bill will be charged.

Can I pay my tax bills by credit or debit card or online?
Real Estate and Personal Property taxes may be paid online from the date the quarterly bill is issued until 11:59PM the date it is due. You may use an Electronic Fund Transfer, Mastercard, or Visa.

If I sell or trade-in my motor vehicle after I paid my motor vehicle excise tax, can I receive a refund?
Yes, in most cases. You may apply for an abatement of your motor vehicle excise tax by contacting the Assessor’s Office at (617) 972-6410.

Am I able to Pay Water and Sewer Bills Online?
Development of online payment for water and sewer bills is underway and is expected before July 1, 2012.

What are the town rules regarding all night parking on town streets during the winter months?
All night parking on town streets during the winter months is restricted beginning November 27, 2011until April 1, 2012 or further notice. On-street parking during this time will be permitted from one hour only between the hours of 1:00 am - 6:00 am.

If my license or registration is marked for non-renewal at the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) due to outstanding parking tickets or unpaid excise amounts, what should I do?
You may pay parking tickets or excise tickets online at the Town website. If you are paying outstanding parking tickets online, you must call 617-972-6453 to notify the Collector's Office so the tickets can be cleared at the RMV. Excise payments will clear within an hour or you may call the Collector's Office at 617-972-6453.

What are the hours of operation for parking meters on the STREET?
Hours of Operation are 8AM to 6PM, excluding Sundays and Holidays

What are parking meter hours of operation in MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS?
Hours of Operation are 7AM to 6PM, excluding Sundays and Holidays
