Permitting for Fields, Courts, Track, and Outdoor Rinks
Recreation Department accepts applications from the Watertown Public Schools, youth leagues, adult teams, leagues and private schools beginning November for the following spring and summer seasons to be issued at the beginning of December. Field, Court, Track, and Outdoor Rink Permit Application - 2026 (PDF) for the fall season will be accepted after January 1st and permits will be issued based on priority beginning February.
The Recreation Department accepts facility permit applications from Watertown Public Schools, youth leagues, adult teams, leagues, and private schools beginning in November for the upcoming spring and summer seasons, with permits issued at the beginning of December. Applications for fall season use will be accepted after January 1st, with permits issued based on priority beginning in February. While we will continue to accept paper permit applications using the fillable form, we strongly encourage all applicants to use our new online Request to Book and Instant Book options through Rec Technologies. Please submit permit requests for Fields and Picnic Tables, and submit requests for Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, and Multi-Purpose Outdoor Rinks.

We are now using our online system to request Picnic Tables and Pavilion Space at Arsenal and Filippello Park! Please follow our request to book requests in lieu of completing the paper application:

We are still accepting paper applications if you cannot complete the online request to book via Rec Technologies. You can Fill out the application completely and email it to the Recreation Department.
Permits are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note:
Picnic permit applications must be received at least 5-7 business days prior to your event.
Permits will be issued on a draft basis and are not valid until full payment is received.
